Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is my Ironwood Homeowners Association annual assessment used for?

A: Your Ironwood Homeowners Association assessment is mainly used to maintain the common areas of the subdivision such as the entrance medians on Towanda Avenue and the berms along Northtown Road. It is also used to defray any expenses incurrred by the Board of Directors such as office supplies and postage for mailing special notices or the newsletter. You can also see Article III of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for additional information.

2. When is "trash day" and what items can I put out for collection?

A: "Trash day" in the Ironwood subdivision is on Friday. You may not put your trash out before 6:00 PM on Thursday and you should have it out for collection by 5:00 am on Friday. For additional information regarding items that may be put out for collection go to the Town of Normal - Waste Division Overview web page, or for information on leaf and bulky waste collection go to the Town of Normal - My Garbage/Recycling Day/Leaf Collection Zone web page.

3. When does the Ironwood Homeowners Association Board of Directors meet?

A: The Ironwood Homeowners Association Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Ironwood Golf Course clubhouse unless members are otherwise informed.

4. What are the on-street parking regulations for the Ironwood subdivision?

A: This is a little tricky. First, we can say that there are no streets in the Ironwood subdivision that allow parking on both sides of the street (except for the cul-de-sacs). However, the NO PARKING side is not always on the odd side or the even side of the street. Therefore, the best thing to do is to look for the NO PARKING signs posted on the street lights near your house to determine which side is the NO PARKING side and thus, which side you can park on. On some streets where all the mailboxes are on the same side of the street, that is the NO Parking side. Parking is allowed on the side opposite the mailboxes.

5. How can I pay my homeowners association dues?

A: There are a couple of ways you can pay your dues. One is to attend an IHOA Board of Directors meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at the Ironwood Golf Course clubhouse and give your check or money to the treasurer before or after the meeting. The second way is to write a check to Ironwood Homeowners Association and mail it to IHOA, PO Box 656, Normal, IL 61761.
